 WORTH PARTNERSHIP PROJECT STRENGTHENS THE SMEs COMPETITIVENESS THROUGH CREATIVITY  (close 31st December 2017)

After the success of the Pilot Project that involved a total of 79 small-medium businesses (SME) and 34 European enterprising partnerships, WORTH Partnership Project is back with renewed expectations.

Embarked in 4 years journey, the new objective is to support 150 cross-boundary partnership projects involving a minimum of 450 companies (SMEs and startups)

Worth Partnership Project is funded by COSME programme of the European Union to support collaborations between SMEs and start-ups of designers, art & craft and creative people with peers’ tech firms and manufactures to create innovative and disruptive products and ideas.

The Worth Partnership Project application call will be on going throughout 4 years, with different windows of opportunity. The first call, that will open the 18th of September 2017, will close the 31st December 2017 for the first partnership formation

The Industrial Innovation Info Days will be held on 3 and 4 October 2017 in Brussels, under the auspices of the European Commission Directorate General for Research & Innovation.

The purpose of this major event, which will gather more than 1000 participants, is to inform stakeholders about activities in the “Key Enabling Technologies” part of Horizon 2020,

The programme will include keynote addresses on current and future investments in EU research & innovation, as well as presentations on upcoming challenges in the area of Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Advanced Manufacturing and Processing, and Biotechnology.

The Info Days will also involve significant networking activities. During brokerage and matchmaking sessions, participants will have the opportunity to present their project ideas and meet potential partners from similar fields with a view to developing future project proposals.

Stakeholders from Member States are involved in the organisation of the event and will be present to give concrete advice to potential Horizon 2020 applicants.

Registrations are now open and we warmly encourage you to participate in this event personally and avail of this ideal opportunity to meet new business partners and extend networks.

SAN SEBASTIAN, SPAIN 5th-6th JUNE 2018

LUBMAT is a common initiative between TEKNIKER and JOST Institute for lubrication and tribology which realized that even though there were numerous international congresses dealing with the scientific approach for lubrication and wear, there were not any specific industrially focused. LUBMAT intends to address the industrial public without losing sight of the academic and scientific vision. LUBMAT is a well-established event that is in its 6th edition. Contributions are expected on all aspects of these three main topics:

  • Lubricants and lubrication management.
  • Tribology.
  • Condition monitoring.

7th KMM-VIN Industrial Workshop (IW7)

 Biomaterials: Key Technologies for Better Healthcare  Erlangen, Germany 27th-28th September 2017

 The goal of this workshop is to bring together experts working in the broad area of biomedical materials both in industry and academia, covering topics related to design, fabrication, characterisation and applications of a wide variety of biomaterials. Materials science and technological aspects, cell biology and in vivo evaluation of new biomaterials as well as analysis of the performance of established biomedical materials in clinical applications will be discussed. In addition, contributions are invited to cover advanced concepts of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, including biofabrication approaches, controlled drug delivery systems and biomaterials models for in vitro screening and for cancer research and therapy.

EuMaT Governing and Management operation is based on the following concepts, procedures and bodies as shown below.

 

The different bodies composing EuMaT identified in three different layers

  • Decision layer – Steering Committee
  • Operative layer – Working Groups
  • Support layer – Mirror Groups and Advisory Board   

 

     

    Steering Committee

    Duties

    The SC is the decision making and executive body of the Technology Platform. It directs all activities and it is responsible for the strategy, implementation and operation of the Platform. Typical activities dealth with include:

    • Definition of roles and responsibilities within the Platform and outlining operations
    • Compliance with the Platform mission and any related activities
    • Approval and launch of activities, including objectives, timing and scope
    • Follow-up activities and approval of deliverables
    • Final assessment of key deliverables (Strategic Research Agenda and Implementation Strategy) with the support from the Secretariat based on Working group reports
    • Representation of the Patform in the external relationship activities  

    Composition 

    • It is composed by a chairman, a deputy chairman and members
    • The appointing of members is done to achieve the best operation and effectiveness of the EuMaT action, while keeping a reasonable balance between different nationalities, skills, compositions
    • New members can be appointed to the SC if it is in the interest of the Platform, and following the positive decision of the SC
    • Chairpersons of the Working Groups, Scientific Advisory Board  and Member States Mirror Group automatically are members of the SC
